Bible Reading: Leviticus 25-27 (Jehovah is Caring)

When you read Leviticus, most of the time we think about the boring commands that Moise gave to the Israelites.

But, this bible reading really opened my eyes to something: Jehovah cares about more than us listening to him.

He even cares about the money that is spend on cows in that time?  50 sickles at that time makes $300 to use per Jehovah PE

Bible Reading 06.27 (We need Jehovah)

Today’s bible reading involved Psaumes 78-80.

Normally, you would think that Psaumes is a quick 1,2,3 read and that’s it, right?

I spend 1-1/2 hrs reading these 3 chapters.

Why? Because it summaries all of Israel’s history with Jehovah in just 3 chapters.

From how Jehovah delivered them from Egypt to obtaining the promise land and finally disobeying him countless times, it is all documented in Asaph’s melody.

….and yet..

Asaph’s melody was not to give a history lesson but to beg Jehovah to save them yet again from all the problems they put themselves into by not being loyal to him.

What I learned from this bible reading is that Jehovah is never too angry to forgive. He searches for humble ones to come to their senses and re-establish their relationship with him.

This taught me that Jehovah is not only All Powerful but he is an all-powerful forgiver.

Psaumes 80:17,18 is a great verse to use in the ministry to describe how our relationship with Jehovah should be, even the goal of our lives when we are in good health serving him.

Jehovah.. Thank you for helping me read your word today. It always makes me count on your spirit more when I see how your faithful servants depended on you in the past.

Bible Reading 06.24 (We can’t know everything)

I’m late even though I’m not working 😑

It’s amazing how self-control is a fruit of the spirit. I can see why now.

My bible reading today was chosen at random: Eccl 11-12.

I didn’t really know what to expect but knew that Solomon always have wise advice when it comes to life.

So, what did he say that touched me today?

Eccl 11:4,5

The one who watches the wind will not sow seed, and the one who looks at the clouds will not reap.

Just as you do not know how the spirit operates in the bones of the child inside a pregnant women, so you do know the work of the true God, who does all things.

What I’ve come to appreciate the more I draw closer to Jehovah is how much I don’t know.

“It’s ok to not know anything!!!”

When we delight in what we don’t know, it draws us to what we should know and why.

In a sense, I feel closer to Jehovah knowing that I will keep learning from him.

Otherwise, if human figured out the creator, what would be the point of obeying him?

Another verse that touched me was Eccl 12:12,13, which talked about what’s most important in our lives.

Eccl 12:12,13

As for anything besides these, my son, be warned: To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh.

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is : Keep fearing the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man.

No matter how much school you do, it will never end. So, why follow them?

I’ve learned to remember my mission: fear the true God and keep his commandments.

How I can help others with this: I think they having a good perspective on school can help many in the congregation grow spiritually. Using Ecclesiastes to show how we don’t need to know everything to be loved by God is a really powerful point that I would love to share to strengthen the congregation.

In the end, it’s not how much you know that counts, it’s how much you can care about Jehovah â˜ș

Bible Reading 06.19(People don’t listen to Jehovah)

Why don’t people listen to Jehovah?

Today’s Bible Reading is about 1 Rois (Kings/Reyes) 19-22.

Ben-Hadad, the king of Syria.

Ahab, the king of Israel.

The friend, who didn’t listen to the Prophete.

So many people died in just 3 chapters. For what? Because they didn’t listen to what Jehovah said.

1 Kings shows me the catastrophes that can happen at any time when you don’t listen to Jehovah.

Lesson for others: Even in difficult circumstances, listen to Jehovah. It is better.

Bible Reading 6.11 (Jehovah Loves forgiving)

Did you know that Jehovah wanted to forgive even during the times of the Israelites? Yes, even when the priests sinned, Jehovah wanted to forgive them.

In Leviticus 4:1,2, Jehovah gave repentant sinners a chance. No matter who you are, as long as you unintentionally did something that was a grave sin in front of Jehovah and repented sincerely, you could also be forgiven.

So, what the point I can use to encourage others?

Jehovah is a loving God. Even though he knows we are imperfect, he doesn’t abuse that fact in order to never forgive us.

Instead, he wholeheartedly put arrangement in place, both during the times of the Israelites and today, to help repentant sinners come clean in front of Jehovah and get themselves back on the right track.

Bible Reading 06.10 (Keep Inside Strong)

Ephesians 3:16 was a good reminder today.
Actually, even Ephesians 2 was a good listen.
When you think about this verse, what comes to your mind?
To me, it says get stronger. Get closer. Go farther. Feel closer.
To be close to the love that Jesus manifested for me, even if it is so far, draws me even closer to the love that I truly want to show him.
For the pain, the sacrifices and the faith he had to be put on a torture stake in exchange for many.
That really brings it home for me.
How this can be useful to others:
Do you ask yourself “How close is my love to Jehovah?” Jacques 4:8 says that if you get closer to Jah, Jah will get closer to you.
But, after looking at Ephesians 3:16,17, how much love are you giving to Jesus? Are you letting his example inform your mental attitude?
Knowing this question will show you how much farther your relationship with Jehovah and his son needs to go and how you should start imitating the example of Christ.
As we say in French…
Devenait ferme dans notre espĂšrance. Devenait fort quant Ă  l’homme que je suis intĂ©rieurement.😉

Bible Reading 06.09 (Keep it simple / Keep it spiritual)

Today, I read Luc 11-12.

I spent almost 2.5 hrs😁

It was so deep. There were a lot of things to understand in the dealing with Jesus and the Pharasees.

Here are the 3 verses I think can help others:

Luc 12:25 – You can’t add more life to your life if you stress out

Luc 12:34 – Your treasure is what’s really in your heart.

Luc 12:48 – The more responsibility you have, the more will be required of you – whether it is money or time

Bible Reading (06.05-06.08)

1 Rois 1-3: David was getting hot but refused to sleep with a beautiful women. Why is this interesting? I appreciate David’s humility faced against social pressure. He did not touch the girl nor did he boast about anything unclean. I want to follow his example.

Psaumes 69-71: David kept Jehovah close to him when he called out for help from Jehovah. Although I don’t remember most of what this Psaumes said, I’m happy that I stuck to trying to read before going to bed. It’s actually more satisfying knowing that I pleased Jehovah, even in a small way, then doing what is displeasing to his eyes.

Proverbs 4 – Don’t count on your experience. Let Jehovah’s wisdom guide you.

Ezekiel 1-6:

Bible Reading: Leviticus 1-3 (Maintain the order)

Dude… It’s been 4 years 😒

So much has happened since I last wrote on “Eyram notes”.

I got engaged, then broken up with, I went through 3 jobs and later got accepted to work in LDC.

Life is tough.

But, in any case, I’m not here to talk about that.

Here’s my bible reading for today:

Leviticus 1-3 taught me a lot about the amount of order that was required for the Israelites to be considered pure in front of Jehovah.

Whether it was a burnt or grain offering, the priests had the responsibility of insuring that the sacrifices that Jehovah received had a “pleasing aroma” to them.

The rules were probably very strict, given the way the instructions were laid out in chapter 1-3.

What I learned from this is that Jehovah is a god of order. He doesn’t let things happen half-hazardly and accept them. He demands respect, yet shows us unmerited love because of it.

By respecting the order he established in the congregation, I can fulfill my part to the best of my ability and contribute to the purity of the congregation – even as imperfect human beings.

Application for others: Maintain theocratic order for the purity of the congregation. We don’t accept blood (Lev 3:17) because we want to respect the order that Jehovah put into creating life.

Let’s keep the purity in the congregation by following theocratic order and being a good example of faith for others.

Daily Text – June 28, 29, 30 (Getting Better!)

” Religion without science is blind.

Science without religion is inefficient.”

– Brother Bill (I met in Manhattan on Friday)

This is so true!

As I think about all the thing we go though as human, it is always interesting to note how brothers that deal with apostats and opposer handle them. My two days were very busy because I needed to finish a drawing for work and the program was being real mean to me… So, I had to come back to work directly after the meeting and I worked until the next morning! I didn’t even finish the drawing, but my boss was nice enough to show me what I needed to fix when I got to the work meeting in manhattan on Friday.

Saturday was great. I preached most of the day and played soccer (futbol). I love my Saturdays!

Anyways… On to the text!

June 30 (Follow Jehovah’s Decisions)

Vous deviendrez pour moi un royaume de prĂȘtres et une nation sainte. —Ex. 19:6 (hover for english)

As his witnesses, Jehovah always tries to make life easier for us.

Simply because he wants us to enjoy the miracle of life that was given to us.

However, when we don’t follow the decisions that Jehovah makes for us, it is very certain that we will lose his protection.

For example… In today’s text, we see the comparaison between what could have happened and what should have happened to the israelites.

If they would have sincerely obeyed Jehovah and followed his word, they wouldn’t have any problems accepting Jesus. However, because of their selfish desires, they were willing to change the way they see things (because of tradition) to the way Jehovah sees things (who was the one that gave the rules).

Today, we can also face this type of reasoning. However, to become one of “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, we must witness not only all that Jehovah has told us but also the changes he shows us in comprehension through his faithful slave. If we do follow his commandements, we will be like those anointed ones of the past who became “a kingdom of priests” because they followed the decisions that Jehovah had made for them.

June 29 (Imitate Mary’s Attitude)

Vois! L’esclave de JĂ©hovah! Que tout se passe pour moi selon ta dĂ©claration. —Luc 1:38 (hover for english)

How good of an example can you get?!

Maria (Mary) has been such a great example for all of us today!

Remembering the way she handled herself when the angel told her she will carry Jesus is amazing. It wasn’t about the fact that she was getting the privilege to carry Jesus that was important to her.

It was her willingness to do what Jehovah asks that makes her such a fine example. She never worried about what others were going to think, how she would get out of the situation she was in, but rather she showed herself as “Jehovah’s slave girl”.

We should imitate her attitude.

Although we may have worries, opposition or other things that can stop us from accepting what Jehovah wants to do, we can not stop. We must continue to accept all that Jehovah continues to give us and let him worry about all the complications around it.

If we put our faith in Jehovah like Maria, Jehovah will definitely bless our efforts.

Do we som

June 28 (Training for Elders/Servants)

Exerce-toi en ayant pour but l’attachement à Dieu. —1 Tim. 4:7 (hover for english)

How can a brother gain more responsibility in the congregation?

“Lire rĂ©guliĂšrement la Bible, Ă©tudier assidĂ»ment, mĂ©diter, prier avec ferveur et prĂȘcher avec zĂšle.” – Daily Text (French)

“This calls for regular Bible reading, diligent personal study, serious meditation, heartfelt prayer, and zealous participation in the Christian ministry.” – Daily Text (English)

It is that simple. But, most importantly we should have a strong love for Jehovah.

Without that love, all of the above would be useless. It is like forcing yourself to learn how to drive when you don’t have a car.

Jehovah looks at our heart before naming us in the congregation. Am I preaching with my heart? Am I encouraging the friends to do more?

All of these questions (including the one in the daily text) should be answered.

Remember… Even if we are never named, the love and encouragement we show our brothers and sisters will go much farther!
